Functions of an SDR-100 device

     The sound level recorder SDR-100 records the noise levels in the premise it is installed.

    One of the objectives of the sound level recorder is to determine the periods of activity of the source of noise, thanks to the system of sensors. Another characteristic of the device is its inviolability. We lay out a monitoring system thanks to the sensor (microphone) which makes possible to detect possible handling. Inside the sensor, you have the Speaker/Amplifier/Converter D/A chain which has to detect the no-handling of these elements.

     Thus, a noise test (pink noise) is emitted. The both sensitivity/effectiveness of the period must remain constant throughout the sessions.

    The device can be programmed as a sonographe or as a recorder. As a sonographe, it records the following data:

Period of activity of the sources:

Expressed in sessions, determined by the period of time spent between the beginning and the ending work of the device. When the time spent between these two points is higher than 24 hours, the end of this session takes place automatically at the same hour then it began. The SDR-100 device is able to manage the noise of 4 different sound sources.

Period of a noisy activity:

The device gives us the time and date of the beginning of the activity in the premise, as from the moment when this level exceeds the fixed threshold. It also indicates when the noise level in the room goes down the fixed minimum threshold. From this period, the device preserves the levels of acoustic pressure generated in the room, expressed in:

- Time and date of the beginning of session.

- Time and date of the end of session.

- Efficacy of the both "Amplifier - Speaker – Microphone", in dB(A).

- Maximum signal level (Peak) which crosses the system.

- Medium equivalent level one minute of each session with its respective times and dates.

- Maximum equivalent level one minute.

- Minimum equivalent level one minute.

     As a recorder, the device takes continuously a sample of Leq 60", in a periodic way. This period has to be determined during the SDR-100 device programming.

Thus, the inspection will give us the 3000 latest recorded samples, divided in sessions determined by the activity of the source.

     The installation and modification of the parameters are made with our own software: GestionSDR. It is protected with various electronic keys:

- Program password

- Apparatus password

- Print of the program

     For a commodity inspection, you can read the data thanks to a laptop. This one can read and transfer them to a PC. This last one thanks to the Inspection program (our software GestionSDR), treats the data and works out an activity report of the device. The recorded data can be obtained by SMS transmission.
